What Do You Seek?

Welcome! Here’s how to find what you want on Dispatches from World Headquarters, the online home of Fred Sandsmark and Marble Publishing.

If you’re an employer considering me  for full-time work, here are more than 25 writing samples—white papers and data sheets, customer reference success stories, business and individual profiles, blog posts, and more. My LinkedIn profile serves as my resume and list of references. The portfolio category on this site also has writing samples.

If you seek social media, my Twitter account is @FredSandsmark (a mix of personal and professional content); my Instagram name is ftsandsmark (nothing work-related there, but perhaps a view into my life and interests); and here’s my Facebook page (also not work-related, and fairly well locked down from the public—yours should be too).

If you’re a friend looking for fun stuff, here’s where you’ll find some personal work. (Sorry, but since this is my professional site, you won’t find much here.)

If you’re looking for a freelance writer/editor, I might be available to help under the right circumstances. (My employer doesn’t forbid side jobs, but know that I’m scrupulously ethical about competitive considerations and realistic about my workload. My mother raised me right.) The best way to determine if we can and should work together is to email me: fred (at) marblepub (dot) com. I’ve met dozens of great freelance writers over my career, so if I can’t help you myself I probably know someone who can.

If you’re curious about the name Dispatches from World Headquartershere’s why that’s the site’s name. The same link explains why my company is called Marble Publishing. The Castro Valley Boulevardier (an anonymous CV blog I ran) and JaneSandsmark.com (website of my late first wife, Jane Koppel Sandsmark) survive at archive.org. (I contribute; you can too.)

If you don’t find what you seek, please drop a line to fred (at) marblepub (dot) com. Thank you.
