So much for blogging from the road
I'm back and, clearly, I didn't post while on the road. Internet access was sporadic in the hotels where we stayed (a few had a single public computer in the lobby, but it was often busy), and my WiFi PDA solution didn't perform (not enough working out of kinks before I left).
On the plus side, France was lovely. The people were kind and generous, the weather was warm (sometimes too warm), and the food was wonderful (of course). The choir sang well and were very well-received. Our traveling companions were lively and fun. The only thing I would add: more interaction with French people who weren't waiters. (The waiters were terrific, mind you, but I would have liked more insight into the everyday lives of people.)
